The trouble with homosexuality in me is that (1) it puts me underneath ideas and (2) opportunities being rare and difficult it causes the mind to be more readily anxious for them. Actually (1) results from (2); being unable to fall completely into an idea no idea is firm. The man whose desire is for a woman can fall off into this work with abandon that when he is ready to turn to sex he will not have far to look. With a man, woman is just another idea. To woman, man is the whole idea.
